A lovely example of a Grade 1 coffee from Ethiopia. The coffee is bright and elegant with notes of lime, orange and jasmine tea. The fruity but refined acidity on the finish has you looking forward to the next sip. This coffee delights as an espresso or flat white, but also stands out in a filter.

Tasting Notes: Lime, juicy orange with hints of jasmine tea and a fruity acidity on the finish.

Process: Washed

Region: Guji, Dikitu

Variety: Heirloom varieties

Farm: Small producers of Dikitu village

Altitude: 1800 - 2200 MASL

This regional lot is produced by the husband and wife team of Gizaw and Frehiwot Alemayehu. The cherries are supplied by more than 350 smallholder farmers living in a village called Dikitu. They are handpicked, sorted, and delivered to Gizaw’s washing station where they are further sorted into grades using density channels, fermented for 36-72 hours, washed, floated for defects, and then sent to raised drying tables for 8-15 days or until desired moisture content is reached (11.5%).
